Bi Ghayegh

"بی قایق" (Bi Ghayegh) translates to "Without a Boat" — and that image is the entire song. There is no vessel, no rudder, no map. The narrator is floating on water, carried by the current, moving toward a destination they cannot name.

The lyrics are sparse, almost haiku-like, but each line carries a specific emotional weight. "روی آب شناورم / بدون سمت و مقصد" (I'm floating on water / without direction or destination) establishes the central metaphor: a life without a plan, without a steering mechanism, without the illusion of control. The water is not hostile — it simply is. It moves, and the narrator moves with it.

There is fear in this surrender. "ترس دارم ولی آروم" (I'm scared but calm) is perhaps the most honest line in the song. It does not pretend that letting go is easy. It acknowledges the fear — and then chooses peace anyway. The narrator has "اعتماد کردم به آب" (trusted the water), which is an act of faith in something larger than oneself. The water becomes a stand-in for life itself: unpredictable, uncontrollable, and ultimately trustworthy if you allow yourself to float.

The song does not build to a revelation or a destination. "جایی می‌رم / که نمی‌دونم کجاست" (I'm going somewhere / that I don't know where it is) is the final statement — and it is not a complaint. It is an acceptance. The journey has no known endpoint, and that is the point. The narrator is not lost; they are simply in motion, without the anxiety of needing to arrive.

Within the context of the 20 Salegi album, "Bi Ghayegh" functions as a moment of stillness amid the more narrative-driven tracks. Where other songs on the album deal with relationships, memory, and judgment, this track turns inward. It is the sound of someone sitting with uncertainty and finding it bearable — even beautiful. Written, composed, and arranged by Saymawn, it was recorded at Ofogh Studio (استودیو افق) using Cubase with a U99 microphone, and appears as Track 07 on the 2018 album.
